I love making a wager or two on daily games while I’m in Vegas. Sometimes though, I need to break away from the standard casino sportsbook and watch the game at a place that allows a little more interaction and socialization. After a sitting down at TAG for a few drinks, I may have found my go-to spot.

A number of flat screens. Given it’s a Caesars property, I wouldn’t have been surprised to find tube TVs.
I bellied up to the main bar on a slow Saturday in December. The bar had quite a few games on, but none of the screens featured my beloved Blackhawks, who were playing at the time. A simple request from the bartender and a screen just in front of me was promptly changed over. This may not seem like a big deal and a simple request, but it’s a bright spot for customer service.

That’s a lot of beer.
Aside from standard cocktails and “bro beers” (Miller and Bud Light), TAG also boasts an impressive collection of craft and import options. I enjoyed two bottles of La Fin Du Monde, a Canadian brew and favorite of mine. All their beers are comped if you’re playing on one of the main bar machines. I was able to take advantage of this despite not playing max pay at quite a slow pace.

Comped beer makes me happy.
The area also offers several electronic gaming options, including “holographic” blackjack and Shoot-To-Win-Craps. It can be a bit tough to watch a game from those stations though.
Seating during major games will surely fill early and quickly, so be sure to get there ahead of time. The Linq renovations have been a hit so far and shows that Caesars Entertainment occasionally does something right; Tag is certainly one of the reasons why.

The low roller takeaway:
You can get free drinks here while playing VP. Remember, not all sportsbooks offer comped drinks for smaller bets.
A great beer selection means you’ll find something that suits your palate.
A adequate amount of screens and seating at the main bar and high tops.
